The Datacard® MX1100™ card issuance system is designed to help financial institutions, governments and other organizations take an affordable first step into centralized card issuance. This system is conveniently offered in several, fixed configurations with the flexibility to choose personalization and card delivery options to meet your specific needs. Features
Magnetic stripe encodingWrites one to three tracks of data in parallel with read/write heads that support all ISO, AAMVA and JIS encoding formats and common coercivity requirements.
Smart card personalization
Personalize smart cards with a flexible, high-quality and secure system. The system architecture accommodates combination contact and contactless smart cards enabling issuers to support many card types.
Single-step color printing
Print full-color, 300 dpi high-resolution photos and images directly on the card using dye diffusion, thermal transfer technology. The system allows for near edge-to-edge printing and provides customers with a low cost color printing technology in a compact footprint.
Graphics printing
Prints monochrome custom graphics — including text, logos, bar codes, signatures and fingerprints — on PVC cards using thermal transfer technology.
Laser engraving
Engrave variable-sized photos, alphanumeric text, bar codes, black-and-white logos and other graphical elements for increased card security using state-of-the-art, grayscale laser card technology.
Basic topcoat
Applies clear or holographic topcoats with full edge-to-edge coverage to protect graphics and color printed images.
DuraGard™ laminate
Improves card durability and security by applying Datacard® DuraGard® laminates to both sides of the card. DuraGard laminates incorporate some of the most advanced card security and durability features available.
Embossing and topping
High-quality, ISO-compliant card embossing and indent printing with tightly aligned character-to-character spacing, consistent text height and location. Applies colored topping foil material to embossed characters, making them attractive and easier to read.
Label affixing
Applies a wide variety of removable adhesive labels to plastic cards with accurate placement and consistent alignment.
OCR-B/Bar code scanning
Reads pre-printed serial numbers, document control numbers and bar codes on cards to secure card blanks and sends data to the controller.
Quality checking
Provides quality assurance of personalized cards, which improves data integrity and helps reduce the risk of errors.
